According to the alliance, the team’s structure, members, and responsibilities will be announced this Wednesday, and among its missions will be to warn against any attempt to reverse the social achievements reached during former President Gustavo Petro’s administration (2022-2026).

Ivan Cepeda, leader of the opposition in the Senate, referred to the initiative on August 7 during a speech in Barranquilla.

Senator Carolina Corcho, in turn, noted that the PH was considering setting up a mechanism to allow for rigorous, accurate, and well-reasoned political oversight of the current administration’s decisions.

Its aim would be a body tasked with monitoring government management and warning of anything it deems unconstitutional or morally questionable.
