The humanitarian organization stated that Yılmaz visited the Egyptian port of El Arish and Red Crescent warehouses to oversee the shipment of Aida for the Palestinian enclave and assess the needs on the ground.

The official, accompanied by the Turkish ambassador to Cairo and a delegation, also traveled to the Rafah border crossing.

Yılmaz remembered that guaranteeing access to aid for the civilian population is an obligation under international humanitarian law and regretted that the restrictions continue to worsen the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

She said that, following the ceasefire, the daily entry of 600 aid trucks had been planned, but asserted that only about 100 are actually managing to reach Palestinian territory.

During his stay in Egypt, Yılmaz also visited Palestinian patients from Gaza receiving treatment in Cairo and announced a support program for the Palestinian Red Crescent Hospital, with a budget of nearly 3.2 million Turkish lira, equivalent to about 66.5 million dollars.
