In a statement in response to declarations by the Israeli diplomatic institution, Ankara described the accusations against the Turkish president as false and stated that they are part of a strategy aimed at discrediting those who denounce Israel’s actions.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that the impunity of Netanyahu and other Israeli officials is beginning to erode the political and legal spheres.

It held them responsible for the offensive against Gaza and the increase in regional instability.

The statement also accused Israeli institutions of resorting to propaganda and noted that, in Ankara’s view, the international community is showing increasing distrust of the Netanyahu government’s rhetoric.

Turkiye reiterated that, under Erdogan’s leadership, it will uphold a firm stance against Israeli actions it considers contrary to international law and will continue to defend its stance over the situation in Gaza and the region.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded on August 21 to Turkiye’s request to Interpol to issue an arrest warrant against him, asserting that it was a “pathetic attempt to intimidate Israel’s leaders and soldiers,” and labeling Erdogan an anti-Semitic dictator.
