Iran threatens to attack origin of any US aggression

Tehran, Sep 1 (Prensa Latina) The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces warned that it will attack the origin of any aggression against its territory, regardless of where it is launched from, amid a new escalation with the United States.

In a joint statement with the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the military institution accused Washington of using the territory, airspace, and facilities of some countries in the region to conduct airstrikes on Iranian targets.

Tehran affirmed that it respects the sovereignty of neighboring states, but warned that it will not bear further aggression and any attack will receive a “much more forceful” response.

“The aggressor US army has no option but to leave the region,” the statement said, adding that it also warned those who facilitate US military operations against Iran that the Armed Forces will strike at the point of origin of any attack.

The statement came after US forces attacked two Iranian launchers on Sunday on Larak Island, located in the Strait of Hormuz.
