In her daily address at “Citizen Power” media outlets, the leader honored the memory of Nicaragua’s heroes and founding figures and called for continued efforts to build a country founded on hope, harmony, and the well-being of families.
The Co-President noted that during this “Month of the Homeland,” national flags have been raised and anthems sung as a tribute to Nicaragua, a nation she described as “Blessed, Dignified, and Always Free.”
She also linked these patriotic celebrations to the Christian faith, affirming that peace is an expression of love and a source of strength for the Nicaraguan people.
“We declare ourselves, as always, to be Christians, proponents of solidarity, Socialists, and a People of the Father—a People of God,” stated Murillo, who expressed gratitude for the paths of harmony and unity the country is following.
Her message also emphasized the importance of working for the peace, security, and well-being of peoples, as well as promoting dialogue and respect among nations.
The Co-President underscored the importance of contributing to a human family that respects the right of peoples to live in safety and tranquility, in harmony, and while working toward their own well-being.
