Commerce Ministry Spokesperson Huang Ling stated that China has repeatedly said it firmly opposes unilateral sanctions that lack a basis in international law and have not been authorized by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

Huang argued that the US unilateral sanctions unduly interfere with normal economic and trade exchanges between the relevant countries and severely disrupt global energy security and stable supply.

The spokesperson emphasized that China urges the United States to immediately correct its wrongful practices and lift the sanctions on relevant Chinese companies and citizens.

Huang asserted that the country will resolutely safeguard the legitimate and legal rights and interests of its companies and citizens.
