Cuba’s Ambassador to Baku, Carlos Valdes, stated that the 4th Climate Week (CW4) and Baku Climate Action Week 2026 (BCAW) are being held jointly in Baku from September 7 to 11.
The Cuban delegation, which presents its experiences at the 2026 Adaptation Forum, held under the theme “Scaling adaptation measures towards achieving the Global Goal on Adaptation: partnerships, innovation, and practical implementation solutions for climate resilience,” also includes experts Leonel Diaz and Frank Tellez.
The forum brings together adaptation stakeholders and partners for strategic dialogue, peer-to-peer learning, and collaboration to boost the implementation of adaptation measures aimed at achieving the Global Goal on Adaptation.
Cuba, in turn, presented its experiences on climate change, including scientific studies estimating temperature increases and the loss of coastal territory due to flooding caused by sea-level rise by 2050 and 2100.
