ACNU calls for submissions for magazine edition on Fidel Castro

Havana, Sep 16 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban United Nations Association (ACNU) has issued a call for submissions for the 2026 edition of its magazine, dedicated to the centenary of Fidel Castro, aiming to highlight the enduring relevance of his thought.

The publication seeks to document—through living memory and rigorous analysis—the significance of the Cuban Revolution’s historic leader regarding global issues addressed by the organizations, funds, and programs of the UN System.

It also aims to help document Fidel Castro’s interaction with Cuban civil society, viewed through the lens of his revolutionary thought and praxis.

Submissions are invited in the form of articles and essays covering personal experiences with the Commander-in-Chief, his approach to the challenges facing Cuban society, and research into his reflections and proposals regarding pressing issues such as economic and social development.

Contributions regarding his participation in Global South forums—such as the Non-Aligned Movement and the Group of 77—are also welcome.

A diversity of perspectives will enrich this publication, which aims to demonstrate the deep commitment to multilateralism found in Fidel Castro’s thought and work, as well as his extensive efforts to address the needs of Cuban society.

Contributions will be accepted until October 24, 2026 (United Nations Day), and notification regarding accepted works will be given on December 10, 2026 (Human Rights Day).

According to the call for submissions, the ACNU magazine is scheduled for publication in the first quarter of 2027.
