DPRK dismisses criticisms from 70th IAEA General Conference

Pyongyang, Sep 17 (Prensa Latina) The government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) deemed its nuclear power status irreversible, dismissing criticisms voiced at the 70th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Kim Yo-jong, a department head at the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), affirmed that the criticisms against the DPRK at the event taking place in Vienna, Austria, are merely repetitive noise with no effect whatsoever.

KCNA published Kim’s statement asserting that her country’s nuclear force helps curb international tyranny and makes an essential contribution to global peace and security, despite Western opposition.

The official dismissed, at the same time, attempts to alter the DPRK’s nuclear stance as futile and useless, and reaffirmed that its status as a nuclear-armed nation is irreversible and absolute.

Kim warned that no external pressure could reverse the structural shift in the DPRK’s power and position, consolidated both physically and legally, as a nuclear state.
