Ryabkov said Chinese counterparts have not yet presented the conceptual framework for their presidency.
He added, “And BRICS is not just about continuity; it always bears the significant influence of the successive presidencies.”
The deputy foreign minister stated, “I would venture to guess that contemporary disruptive technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), supply chains, modern payment and financial systems, and economic logistics, will focus the Chinese presidency next year, though they must speak on the matter.”
The senior official noted, “We will support those priorities, and we, regarding the economic and technological innovation aspects of BRICS’ work, share that approach.”
He added that under India’s presidency, significant progress was made, including establishing a platform to support startups and fostering an environment conducive to the barrier-free movement of technology and capital “within BRICS.”
Ryabkov stressed, “I am certain that our Chinese colleagues will continue and build upon this work.”
