During the visit, the President—who also heads the National Defense Council—emphasized the importance of activating structures for both peacetime and wartime scenarios at all levels, a standard practice during National Defense Days.
According to the Presidency’s website, the leader highlighted that this mechanism ensures greater adaptability, mobility, and a comprehensive approach to addressing the population’s most complex challenges.
Addressing the implementation of the 176 Economic and Social Transformations within the community, Diaz-Canel underscored the area’s potential, supported by various state and private entities.
He also pointed out untapped productive capacity in the zone, noting that only about 50 percent of the approximately 100 hectares of arable land are currently being utilized.
