Nicaragua highlights progress in education, health, and public safety

Managua, Sep 22 (Prensa Latina) Nicaragua's Co-President Rosario Murillo highlighted progress in education, health, municipal development, and family safety as part of the government's work priorities.

During her daily address via media outlets, the leader noted that the country is advancing across various educational sectors, ranging from primary and secondary schooling to teacher training, universities, and technical centers.

She also mentioned the expansion of university education opportunities through both in-person and distance learning programs—including outreach to the country’s rural areas—describing this as a “true revolution.”

Regarding health, the Co-President highlighted initiatives for health protection and promotion, particularly care for ailments associated with the current rainy season.

She described the rainfall as beneficial for crops, production, and the food security of Nicaraguan families, as well as for exports.

Murillo also highlighted the work of municipal governments in areas such as housing, streets, roads, parks, and sports and recreational spaces, as well as facilities dedicated to culture, production, entrepreneurship, and commerce.

She stated that these actions are part of efforts to address families’ needs and resolve problems that had accumulated during periods she described as “neoliberal darkness.”
