Cubans living in France condemn Trump’s UN statements

Paris, Sep 25 (Prensa Latina) The Coordinating Body of Cubans Residing in France condemned the statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump at the UN General Assembly and expressed support for the remarks made by the island's delegation at that forum.

“The Coordinating Body of Cubans Residing in France reaffirms its unwavering support for the words spoken by our delegation at the United Nations General Assembly in New York,” the organization stated in a communique.

Once again, the UN served as the stage for the warmongering attitude of the United States government, which daily fosters state-sponsored terrorism on a global scale, the text highlighted.

The North American country is the one financing agendas of subversion and the alteration of constitutional orders in nations whose examples it fears, the Coordinating Body stated.

Lies, manipulation, threats, and blackmail remain the way it addresses the world, the text added, referring to the White House.

Furthermore, “the U.S. President’s hypocritical and shameless address reveals the double standards of his government, which flagrantly violates human rights within its own territory, as well as the United Nations Charter and international law,” the statement noted.

Pointing out that the United States is in no position to lecture Cuba—or anyone else—on morality or human rights, the organization reaffirmed that “Cuba is a country of peace and solidarity; it is not a threat to the United States!”
