The Cuban Foreign Ministry reaffirmed on its X account the commitment to expanding bilateral ties between the two countries.

Cuba and the Marshall Islands established diplomatic ties in September 2015 during the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

  Both governments have expressed a willingness to boost bilateral cooperation and exchange in areas of common interest, focusing particularly on the challenges facing Small Island Developing States, such as climate change.

  The two countries keep communication and diplomatic representation through non-resident (concurrently accredited) ambassadors and missions to the United Nations.
