Government Minister Nataly Morillo stated that the Executive board will analyze the results before deciding whether to extend the measure.

To date, the Security Bloc, comprising military and police personnel, has detained 2,561 people; 695 for violating the curfew and 1,866 for other offenses.

Official figures from September 17 to 29 reported that security forces conducted 1,310 operations, set up more than 1,000 checkpoints, and conducted 29 raids.

Official data state that despite special measures adopted in recent years, some 5,676 homicides were recorded between January and August.
