“We value our relations with Kazakhstan—our bilateral relations. These are strategic partnership ties that are future-oriented and cover a very broad spectrum of areas,” the spokesman told reporters during his regular media briefing.
The day before, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during a press conference with German opposition leader Friedrich Merz, described his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, as the most acceptable political figure for Kazakhstan, Central Asia, Europe, and the world.
“We, of course, highly value and are grateful to the President of Kazakhstan for the assessment he gave of President Putin,” Peskov noted.
In this context, he explained that the Russian head of state uses every meeting with his Kazakh counterpart to share the latest information regarding the progress of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine.
