Germany is the guest of honor and will offer readers an extensive literary and artistic program with free admission.
The fair takes place on the esplanade, atrium, and mezzanine of Montevideo City Hall, on the iconic 18 de Julio Avenue, and brings together writers, publishers, booksellers, artists, and readers for more than two weeks.
The Uruguayan Book Chamber, the event’s organizer, noted that the fair will feature more than 300 activities and 47 international guests from 13 countries.
Book launches, talks, workshops, live music, theater, cinema, games, and awarding ceremonies make up a diverse agenda that combines literature, intellectual discourse, entertainment, and several artistic expressions.
