The center—which preserves the cultural and historical legacy of intellectuals Cintio Vitier, Fina Garcia Marruz, and their family—announced that the schedule will cover early music, visual arts, chamber music, saxophone, trumpet, operatic singing, Japanese culture, and literature.
An exhibition by National Visual Arts Award winner Jose Angel Toirac will open on Saturday the 10th, and a concert by the Origenes string quartet is scheduled for Monday the 12th.
Meanwhile, on the 17th, the Z-Saxos saxophone quartet will hold its regular gathering featuring the Schola Cantorum Coralina choir, and on Tuesday the 20th, Cuban trumpeter Yasek Manzano will take the stage.
Also soprano Yoslainy Derrick and pianist Ramon Leyva will headline the center’s cultural program on Saturday the 24th.
Workshops held as part of the Japanese Culture Days in Cuba—sponsored by the Japanese Embassy in Havana, a regular collaborator—will take place on the 24th and 25th.
Casa Vitier Garcia Marruz, which is hosting a lecture titled “From Homer’s Odyssey to Nolan” by Pedro Landestoy, will also continue its children’s workshops in singing, drawing, art appreciation, and chess.
