The meeting featured video speeches by Deputy Prime Minister Oscar Perez-Oliva and Ana Teresita Gonzalez, Director General of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad at the Cuban Foreign Ministry (MINREX).
Perez-Oliva and Gonzalez highlighted the role of Cubans living abroad in the new national socioeconomic framework and the existing guarantees to boost the nationals’ projects and investments in Cuba.
The program also included exhibitions on regulatory and commercial incentives available in priority sectors, such as the private sector, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), tourism, energy, agriculture, and financial services.
The meeting concluded with an exchange between diplomats and members of the Cuban community, who raised questions and learned about the channels available through consular offices and specialized service desks.
