Organized by the Spanish Embassy in Havana, the initiative aims to showcase Spanish roots in Cuban culture and strengthen ties between both nations.
The Grand Gala, performed by the Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba company at Marti Theater, is among the outstanding events.
Cuerdas del Alma guitar quartet will be performing at the Theater of the National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA) in Havana, and singer-songwriter Pablo Barrera will sing at the same museum.
Cinema includes the screening of the Spanish documentary film “El Desencanto” (The Disenchantment) at Castillo Mansion, and the documentary “Mi Sueno Cubano” (My Cuban Dream) at Marti Theater in later October.
To conclude these cultural events, the play “Miguel Will,” written by Jose Carlos Somoza and directed by Osvaldo Doimeadios and Pepe Garcia, will be performed at the Nave Oficio de Isla cultural center on November 1.
The program features collaboration by Cuban and Spanish organizations, artists, and scholars, contributing to the cultural life amid the country’s complex situation.
