Demonstrations will take place in several provinces across the country, with rallies in Quito, Guayaquil, Manta, and Cuenca, where participants will voice demands regarding employment, wages, social security, healthcare, education, public safety, and the defense of strategic resources.
This capital’s rally will be outside the headquarters of the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute.
This mobilization was fixed during a national assembly of social, trade union, and grassroots organizations that established a common platform of demands directed at the Noboa administration.
The Frente Unitario de Trabajadores (United Workers’ Front-FUT), the Union Nacional de Educadores (National Union of Educators-UNE), the Frente Popular (Popular Front), and other groups are leading the call for these protests.
Demands include job stability, decent work, and a wage policy that keeps pace with the rising cost of living.
