Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning affirmed that the crimes committed by Japanese militarism during the aggression are events backed by irrefutable evidence and cannot be denied.
Mao addressed reports on the supply of manipulated historical data to major international AI models.
Several reports stated that some AI responses describe the Marco Polo Bridge Incident as a military conflict between China and Japan, reduce the Nanjing Massacre to the fall of that city, and present the Japanese invasion of Southeast Asia as an alleged interest in its resources.
The spokesperson noted that data manipulation via new technologies is a new tactic used by right-wing Japanese factions to distort the history of the aggression.
Mao underscored that AI should do good and not be used to alter historical truth or exonerate those responsible for the aggression.
