Araghchi told reporters in Tehran that the two countries continue exchanging messages through intermediaries.
The foreign minister explained that Tehran presented its initiative, dubbed the “Seven-Day Plan,” and received Washington’s position on the issues under discussion. “I believe we will present our response soon,” he noted.
In late September, Iran conveyed the plan through intermediaries to ease tensions and reopen the Strait of Hormuz as a preliminary step toward resuming talks.
However, US media reported that Washington did not accept Teheran’s proposal.
According to available reports, the talks take place following the war on Iran, launched on February 28 by the United States and Israel, which has resulted in thousands of deaths.
