The strike took place near Hawsh al-Sayyid Ali, in the Hermel district. The sixth injured person is a Lebanese national, the ministry specified in a statement.
The Israeli military later confirmed it had targeted a Syrian national in that area identified as Youssef Ali al-Hassoun, though it did not provide details on his condition.
According to the military’s account, the man had participated over the past year—under Iranian direction—in plots against Israeli forces deployed in southern Syria, including attacks involving explosive drones and rockets.
Lebanon’s National News Agency initially reported the drone strike on the vehicle. Witnesses noted that the projectile landed next to the car rather than striking it directly.
In a separate incident, an Israeli force comprising infantry soldiers and a military bulldozer advanced about 50 meters from a Lebanese Army position in Zoutar al-Gharbiya, in the Nabatieh district, according to the national news agency. The source added that the bulldozer uprooted olive trees in the area.
These events occur as Israeli military operations in Lebanon continue. According to figures released by the Ministry of Health on September 25, 4,386 people have died and another 12,413 have been injured since March 2.
