Putin released a video message congratulating workers in the agricultural and processing sectors, marking their professional holiday.
The head of State noted, “Thanks to your energy and dedication to your work, Russia firmly keeps its status as one of the world’s leading agricultural producers.”
The president also said the country will once again secure “a substantial grain harvest, with a solid margin, surpassing the 100-million-ton mark.”
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev had reported in early October that Russia’s grain harvest in late 2026 is expected to reach around 140 million tons.
