Ukraine imposes new sanctions on Russian individuals and entities

Kyiv, Oct 12 (Prensa Latina) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a series of decrees imposing new sanctions on individuals and entities from the Russian Federation.

The documents, published on the president’s website, noted that the blacklist includes 108 individuals and 48 legal entities, the majority of whom are Russian citizens and residents.

Two vessels were also sanctioned. The release states that almost all legal entities are financial, technological, and consulting firms.

Zelensky regularly signs decrees imposing sanctions on Russian individuals and entities, as well as citizens of Ukraine and other countries whom Kyiv accuses of collaborating with Russia.

Ministries and agencies compile sanctions lists and submit proposals, and the National Security and Defense Council subsequently makes the corresponding decisions.

Kyiv constantly presses Western countries to adopt its proposed sanctions on Moscow.
