Nicaragua Exporta to bring together participants from 29 countries

Managua, Oct 14 (Prensa Latina) The second edition of the "Nicaragua Exporta 2026" platform aims to strengthen trade ties and facilitate connections between domestic companies and international buyers.

Speaking on the program *Estudio TN8*—as reported by *Informe Pastrán*—the Minister of Development, Industry, and Trade, Erwin Ramirez, explained that the platform has registered 354 participants, up from approximately 200 in the first edition, which was attended by representatives from 13 countries.

He highlighted the growing international interest in this initiative, which will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, exhibitions of national products, and business matchmaking sessions to establish direct contact between exporters and potential buyers.

A new feature of Nicaragua Exporta 2026 will be the presentation of the National Exporter Award, recognizing companies across three categories: large exporters, medium-sized enterprises, and small businesses. Three awards will be presented in each category.

Ramirez noted that evaluation criteria include export growth, the incorporation of greater value-added to products, and the use of strategies to diversify destination markets. The agenda will also address topics such as trade intelligence and competitiveness, and will include a coffee tasting and showcase organized by the National Commission for the Transformation and Development of Coffee Growing (Conatradec).

The minister emphasized that the platform is the result of coordinated efforts among institutions of the National Production, Consumption, and Trade System, including the Ministry of Development, Industry, and Trade; the Secretariat for Investment and Export Promotion; the National Free Trade Zone Commission; and Conatradec.
