“Regarding 2026, according to the Ministry of Energy, energy resources worth $21.3 billion have already been supplied to Europe in just the first nine months,” the senior official noted in an interview with the *Vesti* news program.

In other words, despite sanctions, the supply of energy resources continues via specific routes for which exemptions have been granted, Novak added.

He also emphasized that Russia continues to meet its contractual obligations. “It is not our fault that the balance of exports to the European Union has changed significantly in recent years. Nevertheless, we are supplying what our European partners request,” he stated.

The senior official reported that, in total, the European Union has purchased energy resources from Russia worth $320 billion since 2022, the year the special military operation in Ukraine began.

At the same time, Novak added that Russia is already directing the majority of its exports toward the growing markets of the Asia-Pacific region. “Currently, our main partners are countries in the Asia-Pacific region; they are reliable partners, and we continue to work with them and build long-term relationships,” he specified.
