Ghalibaf addressed in a televised address the strikes on Iran and talks with the United States, asserting that Tehran is prepared to fight with all its might whenever circumstances demand it.
The Parliament speaker stated that an agreement reached with Washington, questioned by conservative factions in Iran, enabled his country to strengthen its military capabilities, improve its economic resilience, and bolster the Lebanese movement Hezbollah.
Ghalibaf said Iran’s struggle aims to compel its adversaries to accept the demands of the Iranian people.
He added that the agreement provided Tehran with opportunities and resources to expand its sources of power.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched military strikes on Iran that resulted in thousands of deaths.
Tehran responded with attacks on Israel and targets in other countries in the region, including Qatar, before a ceasefire took effect in April.
