Cuba’s Ambassador to the Vatican, Leyde Rodriguez Hernandez, announced that the exhibition consists of 18 works.
Renowned collector and promoter of Cuban art, Italian gallery owner Eriberto Bettini, who also serves as the exhibition’s curator, will lead the opening ceremony.
DhD. Florana Menendez presened the event, bringing together Vatican officials, representatives of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Holy See, members of the Cuban Embassy in Italy, and respected art critic Luciano Caprile.
The Cuban Embassy in the Holy See and the Dicastery for Culture and Education co-sponsored the event, which coordinates the Vatican’s initiatives in culture and education worldwide.
The exhibition, which will remain open to the public until December 15, is an integral part of the celebrations for Cuban Culture Day, observed annually on October 20.
