Organized by the media group Bandeirantes (Band), the event will be broadcast from the network’s studios in the Morumbi neighborhood of Sao Paulo and is expected to last approximately two hours.
This encounter kicks off the series of debates for the second round of the election—scheduled for October 25—and serves as a key event in the final stretch of the presidential campaign, a period defined by political polarization and stark differences between the platforms of the two candidates.
The debate will be divided into three segments, featuring questions from moderators as well as direct exchanges between the candidates, designed to facilitate a head-to-head confrontation regarding their proposals, agendas, and political stances.
In addition to the highly anticipated debate, various Brazilian cities will see demonstrations this Sunday related to the presidential race.
In Sao Paulo, Flavio Bolsonaro has called on his supporters to gather on Avenida Paulista, while in Rio de Janeiro, students are organizing a demonstration in support of Lula.
The agenda also includes a musical event in defense of democracy, freedom of artistic expression, and the right to peaceful assembly. Taking place on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, the event will feature singer Caetano Veloso and other well-known artists.
