Lula to appear in live broadcast with organizer of a digital “army”

Brasilia, Oct 22 (Prensa Latina) Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will appear in a live online broadcast with Congressman Andre Janones, as part of a digital mobilization initiative three days before the runoff.

Janones, who announced the event via “Lula’s Army” WhatsApp channel to support the president’s candidacy, will broadcast it on his YouTube channel.

“Let all of Brazil know: the first live broadcast featuring the greatest president in this country’s history, together with his army,” the congressman said on social media to urge his followers to spread the call.

The congressman, representing the Rede party for Minas Gerais, has nearly two million subscribers on his YouTube channel.

The initiative seeks to bolster Lula’s digital presence in the final stage of the race, which pits the current president against Senator Flavio Bolsonaro, of the Liberal Party (PL), in the October 25 vote.
