The announcement followed a meeting between Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Emirati President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who reaffirmed the importance of strengthening economic and security resilience.
Wong and Bin Zayed Al Nahyan also oversaw the exchange of three memoranda of understanding covering energy cooperation, water management, and the control of vector-borne diseases.
The two nations also agreed to establish a joint energy working group to identify opportunities across the entire value chain, from trade and infrastructure to downstream activities.
Bilateral cooperation encompasses artificial intelligence (AI), digitalization, defense, and space technology.
