The event, organized by television network Globo, will feature rules restricting the two candidates’ movement on stage, as well as fact-checking of their statements on digital platforms.

The debate will be broadcast from the Rio de Janeiro studios, moderated by journalist Cesar Tralli, and available on TV Globo, GloboNews, G1 portal, and Globoplay.

The program will consist of four segments with questions and answers, followed by closing statements.

Three segments will focus on specific issues, while one will be open-ended; the moderator will conduct the questions.

One of the changes, compared to the October 18 debate by Bandeirantes (TV Band), concerns the candidates’ movement on stage.

This provision was introduced after Flavio Bolsonaro positioned himself behind Lula during some of the president’s remarks in the previous debate, a move that drew criticism from the Lula campaign.
