During a meeting with sector executives and workers, the Deputy Minister highlighted the use of resources from the Transport Development Fund, which are earmarked for revitalizing passenger and freight transport across the country.
As part of the decentralization process promoted by the State, local and national enterprises will be granted the authority to set wholesale and retail prices for transport services.
This measure will be guided by principles of equity and economic rationality, with the goal of granting greater autonomy to these entities, ensuring the sustainability of their services, and progressively increasing workers’ earnings.
