Led by manager Guillermo Carmona, the squad called two catchers, six infielders, five outfielders, and 11 pitchers—a blend of talent honed on domestic diamonds and young players with experience in foreign leagues.

Notable among those selected ones are pitcher Randy Martinez and shortstop Jonathan Moreno, both of whom are part of the Japanese baseball development system and are returning to action following injuries.

Cuba, placed in Group B, will make its debut vs South Korea, followed by matchups vs South Africa, Japan, Venezuela, and Great Britain.

VGroup A will feature Nicaragua, Chinese Taipei, Puerto Rico, Panama, Australia, and the Czech Republic.
