Meloni gave her condolences to the families of the victims, expressed concern for those injured, and acknowledged the teams involved in the rescue operations.

“My thoughts, and those of our entire government, are with the families of the victims, the injured, and everyone working tirelessly on the rescue operations,” she stated.

The accident occurred on the high-speed rail line connecting Madrid to Andalusia, between the towns of Los Yebenes and Urda, in the province of Toledo, within the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha.
