More than 1,000 delegates attend the event through November 7 at the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum, under the theme: “Governing for Growth: Political Parties as Architects of Africa’s Economic Future.”
The event, organized by Ethiopia’s ruling Prosperity Party (PP), in partnership with the Africa Governance Center, follows the inaugural edition held in Accra, Ghana, in 2025.
Nebiyu Sihul, Director General for International Relations at the PP, stated at a press briefing that the summit will bring together heads of State, prime ministers, senior government officials, nearly 80 parliamentarians and high-level ministers, political party leaders, and business executives.
It will also feature representatives from civil society and leaders of women’s and youth groups.
The Addis Ababa Declaration, expected to emerge from the summit, will provide a policy framework for aligning economic priorities across the continent.
