The military institution announced on its official Telegram channel that 38 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted and destroyed over the Bryansk region, and 19 drones over the Moscow region, including 16 flying toward the Russian capital.
The Defense Ministry also reported that 11 UAVs were shot down over the Kaluga region, eight over the Tula region, five over Oryol, the same number in Nizhny Novgorod, three over the Black Sea region, two over Kursk, one over Belgorod, and others over Ryazan.
Meanwhile, the national air transport agency, Rosaviatsia, announced that temporary restrictions have been imposed at the airports of Kaluga, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, and the four Moscow airports (Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Zhukovsky, and Vnukovo) during the day due to security reasons.
Since the beginning of the special military operation on February 24, 2022, drone attacks launched from Ukraine on military and civilian targets in the Russian rear have become routine.
