In the framework of the SCO Summit, the heads of State and Government of the mechanism established a work plan for the next decade with a development strategy for 2026-2035.
They also signed a joint declaration in support of the multilateral trading system, aiming to reaffirm their commitment to open, transparent, and inclusive rules under the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The leaders of the SCO member states also witnessed the official opening of four regional cooperation centers: the Comprehensive Security Threat Response Center, the Center for Combating Transnational Organized Crime, the Cybersecurity Center, and the Anti-Drug Center.
A commemorative declaration was issued for the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the founding of the United Nations, highlighting the role of both milestones in building the contemporary international order.
The SCO Summit in Tianjin is the largest since the mechanism’s founding 24 years ago, with the participation of more than 20 world leaders and chiefs of 10 international organizations.
