The head of state detailed in his account in X that most provinces are linked to the systems created and assured that this day will be decisive.
Diaz-Canel also praised the hard work of specialists from the Electric Union and the Ministry of Energy and Mines.
According to the director of Electricity of the portfolio, Lázaro Guerra, the immediate objective of operations is to link the two systems created, which cover from the plant located in Mariel to the thermal block Antonio Guiteras and that installed from the province of Matanzas to Holguín (east).
Once connected, the specialist explained to Cuban television, national coverage will be almost total.
Guerra stated that another goal of the day is to extend the service to the geographical ends of the country: Pinar del Rio, in the west, and Guantanamo, in the east.
Both provinces, along with Artemisa, Granma and Santiago de Cuba, are still disconnected from the national network, although their gradual reincorporation is expected in the coming hours.
In the Cuban capital, there are 74 affected circuits, which are being rotated with the aim of restoring those most affected.
