The Embassy, together with the Maximo Gomez Association of Cuban Residents in the Dominican Republic, and under the leadership of Ambassador Angel Arzuaga Reyes, traveled to the city of Punta Cana, in La Altagracia province, in the eastern part of the country.
The initiative is part of the efforts to expand and facilitate access to consular services without requiring travel to the National District.
The meeting fostered an open, broad, and transparent dialogue with Cuban residents. During the day, officials addressed consular, immigration, and business matters, as well as issues related to the current situation in Cuba, marked by the intensification of the extraterritorial economic, commercial, and financial blockade and the maximum pressure measures applied by the United States government.

The Business Forum served as a platform for exchange between Dominican and Cuban businesspeople regarding the exportable offerings of the food and agri-food industries, as well as those of the Cuba Rum Corporation.
These offerings were presented virtually by officials and executives, with the participation of the Chamber of Commerce and the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment.
The forum also included a presentation of the updated portfolio of business opportunities and the measures aimed at facilitating and boosting foreign investment in Cuba.
