Through its official website, the United Nations (UN) emphasized on the need of respecting human rights, safeguarding homes and property, and guaranteeing access to essential services.

It also noted that members of its agencies arrived in the territory to assist besieged families and provide them with water, food, medicine, and hygiene items, among other things.

The UN called for the clashes not to become the new normal and expressed its concern about attacks by Israeli settlers against those attempting to provide aid.

The High Commissioner for Human Rights stated that the attacks witnessed in recent days are part of a pattern of escalating violence and denounced the water and electricity cuts to homes with vulnerable people, such as minors.

Furthermore, the organization condemned the continued Israeli attacks in Gaza Strip, which have resulted in civilian casualties.

It also expressed concern about the obstacles to the entry of tents and other resources needed to cope with winter and the rains.
