India and Russia hold extensive talks on ties and more

New Delhi, Aug 25 (Prensa Latina) External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar noted on Tuesday that he held extensive talks in Moscow with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, on ties between their nations and other issues.

Jaishankar affirmed in a post on X that they discussed bilateral cooperation, regional hotspots, global challenges, and multilateral issues.

The Indian foreign minister earlier met at the Kremlin with Russian President Vladimir Putin, to whom he delivered a personal message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The head of Indian diplomacy briefed Putin on the deliberations of the 27th meeting of the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation (IRIGC-TEC), in which collaboration in several fields was examined and its direction was assessed.

They also discussed important regional and global issues.
