During a meeting held at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah, the two leaders also discussed the most prominent regional and international issues, particularly regional developments, according to a report by Qatar News Agency (QNA).

Emir Al Thani arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday evening in the first official visit to this country after al-Ula’s declaration in January 2021, which restored ties between the Gulf neighbors and put an end to the blockade imposed against Qatar by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt in 2017.

Before traveling, Al Thani held a telephone conversation with Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to review the strategic cooperation between the two nations, as well as regional events, especially around the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine, QNA informed.
