Iraqi Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Rassoul announced that they will increase diplomatic efforts to stop these actions.

Rasoul added that the national Constitution supports independence and sovereignty of all nations and, therefore, hopes this adherence will be reciprocated by other countries.

Baghdad opposes terrorist operations against any of its neighboring countries, but neither can it accept that foreign governments fight terrorism with no authorization on its territory.

Earlier, Deputy Alaa Talabani demanded a response to the Turkish intention to set up military bases in the Iraqi autonomous region of Kurdistan.

In recent days, Iraqi government issued a statement condemning illegal actions by Turkish companies to fell trees in the northern Iraqi region of Duhok.
