Cuba, Pakistan seek to boost bilateral ties

Islamabad, Jul 2 (Prensa Latina) Representatives of Cuba and Pakistan on Friday agreed on the need to make the most of the capacity of both parliaments to boost bilateral relations in the areas of biotechnology, trade, public health, education and culture.

The information was disclosed during a meeting at the headquarters of Pakistan’s Parliament between Senate President Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani and Cuban Ambassador Zener Caro.

Sanjrani said that the meetings between the parliaments of Cuba and Pakistan constitute the pillar of relations between the two countries and peoples.

The two officials reviewed the main issues on the common agenda of the Senate of Pakistan and the People’s Power National Assembly of Cuba, particularly the implementation of a memorandum of understanding signed in 2017.

Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani was elected president of the Senate of Pakistan in 2018 and retained the post after elections held in March.
