Biden loses approval rating points in U.S.

Washington, Jul 5 (Prensa Latina) President Joe Biden´s overall acceptance dropped 3.2% compared to March, his best month since he took the office, average polls revealed.

The FiveThirtyEight website reported that although in the third month of the year Joe Biden reached 55.1%, now his score fell to 51.9%, a fall driven by the declined support from Democrats themselves, as his agenda is stalled in Congress.

Among aspects assessed in different scores, the low rating in terms of his management on crime stood out, an issue that GOPers use to attack Biden in his first months in the presidential office.

An ABC News / The Washington Post poll found that only 38% of US citizens are satisfied the way in which Biden is addressing this social issue.

More than half of the country (59%) believes that crime is a serious issue, while percentage of US people who consider him an ‘extremely serious’ topic is at the highest level in the last 20 years.

So far in 2021, the homicide rate has risen in cities across the United States, the analysis said.

In June, Biden unveiled a plan focused on cracking down on firearm crime to fight the rising murder rate nationwide.

However, 62% of those surveyed gave compliments to Biden for the Covid-19 control, contrary to Trump´s constant bad marks in this issue, who had 55.9% overall general disapproval by this date of 2020.
