The Cuban head of State expressed cordial congratulations on his Twitter account, while in another tweet he wished Castillo success in his administration.

In addition, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez also congratulated the Peruvian president-elect and people for the historic victory at the polls.

On Monday, Peru’s National Elections Jury (NEJ) confirmed Castillo as the new president, after declaring that the last five claims from the defeated neoliberal candidate, Keiko Fujimori, were inadmissible and dilatory.
