Hifumi Abe gives Japan second gold medal in Tokyo 2020

The Japanese applied the Waza-Ari technique after 1.50 minutes; Margvelashvili intensified the fight looking for his rival, but Abe managed to avoid the Georgian’s repeated assaults.

A few minutes earlier Abe’s sister Uta beat France’s Amandine Buchard by Ippon in the women’s 52 kgs category and thus Japan enjoyed the two golden crowns for a sui generis edition of Olympic judo.
